Intended use
Two offerings. Two intended uses. No overlap.
This website is not branded Research Use Only. Each offering has its own intended purpose, and we state each one precisely — without extending AVATAR's research limits to Twin, or Twin's clinical positioning to AVATAR.
Side by side
How the intended uses differ
| OnKommon Twin | OnKommon AVATAR | |
|---|---|---|
| Positioning | Commercial, longitudinal precision-oncology intelligence, led by the treating oncologist | Exploratory computational and biological research workflow |
| Stated intended use | Software and analytical outputs are RUO and not independently intended to direct patient care; clinical interpretation by qualified clinicians | Research use; findings are investigational |
| What outputs are | Structured, evidence-linked findings for clinician review and signature | Computational and experimental model observations and hypotheses |
| What outputs are not | A diagnosis, a prescription or a decision | Evidence of human efficacy or safety, or a treatment recommendation |
| Who decides | The treating oncologist | The treating oncologist |
OnKommon Twin
Clinician-led decision support
OnKommon AVATAR
Exploratory research
Computational interpretation alone does not establish that a treatment will work in an individual patient. Investigational findings do not independently establish clinical efficacy or predict an individual's treatment response.
The treating oncologist owns every decision. Every Twin report is reviewed and signed by the treating oncologist, then taken to KPCIRC's Molecular Tumour Board.
